About The Position

Perform materials processing operations on inventory according to work orders or directed by supervisor. This role involves performing processing operations on a saw, cutting material according to work orders and supervisor directions. The operator will also need to communicate and coordinate with supervisors and other employees on jobs and procedures, and possess an understanding and proficiency of measurements and processing software. A key responsibility includes performing inspections and replacements, checking fluid levels, and adhering to all safety measures for processing equipment, including emergency stop procedures. Additionally, the role requires loading/unloading and moving inventory as needed, logging all inventory location movements according to specified procedures, and recording inventory information on work orders. The Saw Operator may also be assigned special projects by management and perform other Warehouse or Processing/Maintenance Department tasks as required due to absences or backlogs. Promoting and practicing all company policies and procedures, with an emphasis on safety, is essential.

Requirements

1-year processing and/or warehouse experience

Responsibilities

Perform processing operations on saw
Cut material according to work orders and by supervisor directions.
Communicate/coordinate with supervisors and other employees on jobs/procedures.
Understanding and proficiencies of measurements and processing software.
Must perform inspections/replacements, inspections of fluid levels, and all other safety measures for processing equipment, to inc. emergency stop process.
Load/unload and otherwise move inventory as required.
Log all inventory location movement according to specified procedures.
Record inventory information on to work orders as required.
Special projects as specified by management.
Performance of other Warehouse or Processing / Maintenance Department tasks as required by the absence of a department member or due to the existence of a backlog of work.
Promote and practice all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety.
