A Truss Sawyer converts stock length lumber into ready to assemble sizes for production of finished truss packages. This role is responsible for safely utilizing basic saw types such as pop-up, miter, and web saws to cut planks, timbers, or boards according to directions and adjusting the saw for required cuts. The position also involves minimizing cuts for maximum efficiency with lumber usage, coordinating with supervisors and team members for timely production, and maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping of the work area. Continuous quality control through inspections and measurements, as well as analyzing and resolving work problems, are key aspects of this role. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
