About The Position

Direct Start is seeking a reliable and experienced Saw Operator to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various saws to cut and shape materials according to specifications.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience operating saws in a manufacturing or production environment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements
Knowledge of saw maintenance and troubleshooting
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Physically able to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time
Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong work ethic and reliability

Responsibilities

Operate various saws, such as band saws, circular saws, and table saws, to cut materials to specific dimensions
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine cutting specifications
Adjust saws to ensure accurate and precise cuts
Monitor saws and material feed to ensure efficient and safe operation
Inspect materials for quality and accuracy before and after cutting
Maintain and troubleshoot saws and other equipment as needed
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment
Keep work area clean and organized
