About The Position

The Saw Operator is responsible for safely and accurately cutting materials according to work order instructions. This role requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and the ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements. The operator must ensure the correct material is used and that all equipment is functioning properly with safety devices engaged. A key responsibility includes performing first article checks before proceeding with production.

Requirements

• Able to read and understand drawings
• Able to read measurements and use tape measure to ensure correct specification
• Ensure proper material is used based on work order

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Wear all appropriate PPE when operating equipment
• Understand equipment and its proper function including all guarding and safety devices
• Cut all materials according to work order instructions
• Perform first article check on all material before proceeding with work order
