About The Position

This role is responsible for operating a saw to cut architectural aluminum to precise measurements, programming the saw with specific material and finish details, and performing shipping duties. The position requires adherence to safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and effective communication between shifts. The associate will also be responsible for documenting production and quality logs and contributing to organizational goals by adding value to their role.

Requirements

Previous saw operator and metal extrusion experience.
Can use and read a tape measure and can take accurate measurements.
Can program the saw entering exact measurements, correct finish, and type of material.
Must be able to lift 75lbs unassisted.
Must be able to lift up to 150lbs with assistance.
Must be able to communicate as a member of a team.
Must be able to follow instruction.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility is preferred.
Strong mathematical background is preferred.

Responsibilities

Cut architectural aluminum to precise measurements taken from work orders.
Programs saw by entering exact measurements, correct finish, and type of material.
Sets-up saw by installing and adjusting tools & attachments.
Verifies settings by measuring material before and after cutting.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
