Requirements

  • Read and interpret blue prints
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and tape measures
  • Organized, accurate, and detail oriented
  • Efficient time management
  • Effective verbal communication
  • Complete training to become forklift certified within 30 days
  • Lift up to 50 pounds frequently
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using saws and other manual machines preferred

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools such as lathes and milling machines.
  • Machine parts to specifications.
  • Load vices with raw materials.
  • Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances.
  • Conduct first article and in process inspections to verify accuracy and conformance with standards.
  • Observe machine operations.
  • Interpret engineering drawings.
  • Take measurements.
  • Monitor for any malfunctions.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Perform basic repairs.
  • Monitor equipment and materials to ensure safe operation.
  • Follow safety procedures.
