About The Position

This is an experienced level, full-time position for a Manual Machinist in Conroe, TX. The salary range is $20.00 - $28.00 per hour, and the job shift is any. The role involves setting up and operating various machine tools to perform precision machining operations on new and rework parts. Key responsibilities include reading blueprints, calculating dimensions, monitoring machining processes, holding tight tolerances, inspecting parts, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Must be able to work independently

Responsibilities

Set up, and operation of lathes and mills using machine tools; lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders to perform precision machining operations on new and rework parts.
Ability to read blueprints, calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers or calipers.
Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
Ability to hold tolerances within .0001”.
Ensures all components are properly de-burred, cleaned, and free from foreign material.
Responsible for the inspection of parts for conformance to requirements holding close tolerances and maximum efficiencies.
Confer with supervisory or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Completes paperwork to maintain records, fills out inspection reports, and follows department standards.
Must be able to work independently.
Perform other duties as required.
