About The Position

Help the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife fulfill its mission: To protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations. We are hiring for one full-time, permanent position located at the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area in Portland, Oregon. In this position, you will be responsible for providing direct public service including agency licensing, reception duties, clerical duties, responding to public inquiries and coordinating purchasing and billing activities for the North Willamette Watershed District and West Region staff at Sauvie Island. Requirements

  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents
  • An associate degree (or higher) in any field
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Working in a fast-paced office with multiple priorities
  • Using Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Process invoices and related purchasing documents
  • Reviewing customer documents for authenticity and accuracy
  • Using a computerized point of sale machine and cash register
  • Customer service experience and/or exposure working with fish and wildlife
