About The Position

This is a full-time, permanent position located at the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area in Portland, Oregon. The role involves providing direct public service, including agency licensing, reception duties, clerical tasks, responding to public inquiries, and coordinating purchasing and billing activities for the North Willamette Watershed District and West Region staff at Sauvie Island. The goal is to support the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife's mission to protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats.

Requirements

  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents
  • An associate degree (or higher) in any field
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working in a fast-paced office with multiple priorities
  • Using Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Process invoices and related purchasing documents
  • Reviewing customer documents for authenticity and accuracy
  • Using a computerized point of sale machine and cash register
  • Customer service experience and/or exposure working with fish and wildlife
  • Must complete the U.S. Department Homeland Security's I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States
  • Driving is required for this position
