This position will be working 19 hours per week, day shift, Monday-Friday. As a member of the Statler Hotel's Culinary Team, the Saucier cook is responsible for: The execution and completion of the daily prep list, specifically soup and sauces. Prep and cut, vegetables, and check pars of items against the prep list. Setting up station for production, and maintaining of clean, professional work area. Preparing items with speed and accuracy as per event requirements. Monitoring temperatures of all prepared foods, and record them as required. Providing functional supervision and training to student cooks. Working closely with the front of house and leadership to solve problems and make sure the customer is getting a quality experience. Supporting other team members when able. Maintain efficient time management and productivity during slow periods throughout the shift. Cleaning the station after each period of service or when needed or directed to by supervisor. Filling out prep lists, closing the shift while adhering to operating standards. Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Reporting to the Sous Chef/Manager. We are a 4 diamond hotel and our goal is to provide the highest quality experience for our guests at The Statler Hotel.
