About The Position

As a SAP Tech Director Generalist, you will lead SAP technology client work focused on S/4 migration, application development, integration, and cloud transformation within PwC's Advisory practice. You will set strategic direction, guide business growth, shape executive client relationships, mentor teams, develop new ideas, and drive decisions across multiple work streams. You will use your SAP technology background to analyze client needs, design and deliver software solutions, and support implementation efforts that improve operational efficiency and advance client business goals. The role includes leading SAP S/4HANA migrations and core ERP transformations across finance, customer, and supply chain processes; shaping client engagement strategy for application development, integration, brownfield and bluefield conversion, and RISE with AI-enabled modernization; and overseeing technical architecture, installation, configuration, administration, and support of SAP software and connected platforms. You will translate business requirements into scalable solutions and roadmaps, guide delivery of digital tooling and automation, advise executives on modernization priorities, and promote AI fluency and technology adoption. The position also involves directing full lifecycle migrations and RISE with SAP transitions, governance of quality, testing, data migration, and cutover, and collaboration with client, SAP, hyperscaler, infrastructure, business analysis, and testing teams. Travel requirements are up to 80%.

Requirements

At least a Bachelor's degree.
At least 9 years of experience.
Lead at least four full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA migrations, including ECC-to-S/4HANA brownfield conversions, Selective Data Transition migrations, and upgrades.
Experience using Software Update Manager (SUM), Database Migration Option (DMO), SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, and SAP Landscape Transformation.
Experience applying downtime-minimized approaches such as downtime-optimized DMO (doDMO), near-Zero Downtime Maintenance (nZDM), and downtime-optimized conversion.
Experience governing quality, testing, data migration, and cutover across workstreams.
Experience leading on-premises landscape transitions to RISE with SAP, including onboarding, sizing, landscape design, network and security setup, cutover, and operational handover.
Ability to collaborate with infrastructure teams, business analysts, testing teams, SAP teams, hyperscaler teams, and clients.
Travel up to 80%.

Nice To Haves

Master's or Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, or Engineering.
Experience excelling in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
Experience overseeing design and implementation of S/4HANA on RISE Cloud.
Knowledge of the RISE with SAP roadmap, clean core, SAP Business AI (Joule), SAP Business Data Cloud, and hyperscaler innovations.
AWS, Azure, or GCP experience; SAP-specialty or architect-level certifications are preferred, such as AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure for SAP Workloads Specialty, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.

Responsibilities

Lead SAP S/4HANA migration and core ERP transformation initiatives across finance, customer, and supply chain processes.
Shape client engagement strategy for application development, integration, brownfield and bluefield conversion, and RISE with AI-enabled modernization.
Drive business growth by identifying opportunities for enterprise SAP footprint expansion and new solution design.
Oversee installation, configuration, administration, and support of SAP software and connected technology platforms.
Guide technical architecture decisions across ABAP development, SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and integration patterns.
Direct delivery of digital tooling, automation, and process optimization to improve operational efficiency.
Translate client business requirements into scalable SAP solutions and deployment roadmaps.
Mentor teams in strategic planning, delivery execution, and development of practical SAP technology skills.
Build executive client relationships and advise stakeholders on modernization priorities and transformation tradeoffs.
Promote AI fluency and technology adoption to advance system design, data use, and future-ready operations.
Oversee design and implementation of S/4HANA on RISE Cloud.
Lead multiple full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA migrations, including ECC-to-S/4HANA brownfield conversions, Selective Data Transition migrations, and upgrades.
Govern quality, testing, data migration, and cutover across workstreams, using SAP Cloud ALM, automated testing, rehearsal runs, and go/no-go governance.
Identify optimization opportunities in performance tuning, CALM use cases, and Monitoring/Open Telemetry.
Lead transitions of on-premises landscapes to RISE with SAP, including onboarding, sizing, landscape design, network and security setup, cutover, and handover to SAP-managed operations.
Coordinate SAP, hyperscaler, client, infrastructure, business analyst, and testing teams to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Develop market-differentiating solutions, tools, and accelerators for S/4HANA Cloud migration, clean-core custom-code remediation, integration modernization, and cloud deployment, including AI-assisted approaches.
Foster positive work environments and balance workloads.
Stay current with SAP and cloud trends, including the RISE with SAP roadmap, clean core, SAP Business AI (Joule), SAP Business Data Cloud, and hyperscaler innovations.
