SAP Tech Arch S/4HANA Migration-Manager
About The Position
As a SAP Tech Arch S/4HANA Migration Manager in PwC’s Advisory practice, you will lead SAP technology work focused on S/4HANA migration planning, solution architecture, and client delivery. You will guide teams, coach junior professionals, and manage workstreams, timelines, and deliverables for complex client needs. You will help clients optimize SAP environments, support configuration and integration efforts, and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives and technology goals. The role includes leading S/4HANA migration work from planning through cutover and stabilization; overseeing design and implementation, including transitions from on-premises landscapes to RISE with SAP; and coordinating client, SAP, hyperscaler, infrastructure, business analyst, and testing teams. Travel requirements are up to 80%.
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor's degree.
- At least 5 years of experience.
Nice To Haves
- A Master's or Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, or Engineering.
- Experience excelling in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Hands-on experience with RISE with SAP, including its methodology and clean core success plan, SAP-managed service boundaries, and service request processes.
- Ability to foster positive work environments and balance workloads.
- Knowledge of SAP and cloud trends, including the RISE with SAP roadmap, SAP Business AI (Joule), SAP Business Data Cloud, and hyperscaler innovations.
- AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications, ideally at SAP-specialty or architect level, such as AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure for SAP Workloads Specialty, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
- An SAP OS/DB migration certification, such as SAP Certified Technology Professional – OS/DB Migration for SAP NetWeaver.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead SAP S/4HANA migration workstreams from planning through cutover and stabilization.
- Manage client expectations and coordinate delivery across finance technology teams.
- Guide architecture decisions for core ERP, finance, customer, and supply chain processes.
- Develop migration strategies that align SAP solutions with business transformation objectives.
- Oversee system design, configuration, and integration across SAP HANA, Fiori, and NetWeaver environments.
- Review technical deliverables and validate alignment with architecture standards and project timelines.
- Coach team members in ABAP development, digital tooling, and SAP analytics capabilities.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and process improvement opportunities across complex ERP landscapes.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable SAP technology solutions.
- Oversee the design and implementation of S/4HANA on RISE Cloud.
- Lead transitions of on-premises landscapes to RISE with SAP, including onboarding, sizing and landscape design, network and security setup, cutover, and handover to SAP-managed operations.
- Coordinate SAP, hyperscaler, client, infrastructure, business analyst, and testing teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Identify optimization opportunities, including performance tuning.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to business stakeholders and clients while managing delivery efforts and expectations.
