About The Position

The SAP GTS Lead oversees the design, configuration, and delivery of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) solutions- ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, customs processes, and risk/trade preference management. This role often drives major migrations to SAP S/4HANA and collaborates with global stakeholders. Preferred candidates will have previous experience with SAP GTS experience with multiple full life cycle implementations. Demonstrated project leadership in the Implementation roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field
  • 8–15+ years in SAP GTS roles, including implementations, upgrades, and support.
  • Specific experience in S/4HANA GTS & migrations (previous ECC - S/4HANA migrations).
  • Core GTS configuration experience: compliance, customs, risk/preference management, HS/Product classification.
  • SAP SD integrations: order-to-cash, shipping, pricing, intercompany processing.
  • Strong analytical mindset for complex trade scenarios
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, executive presentation, team mentoring.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP S/4HANA certification and GTS modules preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SAP GTS implementations, upgrades (e.g., ECC → S/4HANA), enhancements, and support.
  • Conduct AS‑IS/TO‑BE workshops for compliance, customs, risk, and preference processes.
  • Customize GTS modules—Compliance Management (SPL screening, sanction checking), Customs Management, Risk/Preference Management—and integrate with ECC/S/4HANA and middleware (CPI, Seeburger, EDI).
  • Collaborate on migration strategies (Selective Data/Bluefield), ensure data integrity, and support cutover/hypercare phases.
  • Act as liaison between business, technical, and offshore/onshore teams; mentor consultants, manage stakeholder expectations, and present to executive levels.
  • Drive efficiency, automation enhancements, and adherence to best practices.
