About The Position

This role focuses on leading business requirement gathering sessions for SAP Benefits processes, including eligibility, enrollment, plan configuration, and life event processing. The consultant will be responsible for designing and configuring SAP Benefits (BN) modules, ensuring seamless integration with SAP Payroll (PY), and supporting benefits-related compliance activities. Additionally, the role involves managing inbound/outbound interfaces with third-party vendors, analyzing and resolving complex issues, and supporting system upgrades. The consultant will also act as a liaison between HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams, providing user training and documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP HCM Benefits (BN) configuration
  • Solid understanding of SAP Payroll (PY & Tax) integration and downstream impacts
  • Knowledge of HR master data (infotypes) and benefits-related data structures

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of SAP experience
  • Ability to work with teams in Application Managed Services (AMS) environment driving engagement with an ownership mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Indepth knowledge of SAP Payroll & Tax processing for North America in SAP.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central / EC Payroll integration
  • Certification in SAP HCM / SuccessFactors

Responsibilities

  • Lead business requirement gathering sessions for SAP Benefits processes including eligibility, enrollment, plan configuration, and life event processing
  • Design and configure SAP Benefits (BN) modules: Benefit plans, coverage options, and eligibility rules; Enrollment processes and evidence of insurability; Employer/employee contributions and deductions
  • Ensure seamless integration of benefits with SAP Payroll (PY), including wage type mapping and deduction processing
  • Support benefits-related compliance activities, audits, and regulatory updates
  • Perform SAP configuration and troubleshooting across Benefits and Payroll integration points
  • Manage inbound/outbound interfaces with third-party vendors (e.g., insurance providers, payroll systems) using IDocs/APIs/files
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues related to: Benefits deductions; Enrollment discrepancies; Payroll integration failures
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, and application of support packs
  • Maintain configuration documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles
  • Act as liaison between HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams
  • Translate business requirements into technical design and system solutions
  • Provide user training, documentation, and operational guidance
