About The Position

E & J Gallo Winery is hiring an SAP Functional Expert 2 in Modesto, California. The role designs, builds, implements, and supports SAP Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and Materials Management (MM) solutions that map business processes in the SAP S/4HANA 2022 platform and support production efficiency and product quality. The position reports to the Modesto, California office. Telecommuting is permitted under company policy, but the employee must live within commuting distance of the office.

The role designs and configures end-to-end PP, QM, and Inventory Management processes, including master data, work centers, routings, bills of material, production versions and orders, MRP, capacity planning, batch management, quality inspection, stock transport orders, inbound and outbound deliveries, goods issue, and goods receipt. It develops cross-functional solutions integrating SAP modules and boundary systems, and leads SAP template rollouts for new sites and business acquisitions.

The position gathers requirements, performs fit/gap analysis with business stakeholders, prepares fit/gap documentation, prioritizes gaps based on complexity, importance, and project impact, and translates business processes into WRICEF Functional Specification documents. A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Applications, Computer Science, or a related field and 10 years of relevant experience are required. The offered salary range is $182,800 to $274,200 per year.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Applications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in SAP Production Planning and Quality Management modules.
• 10 years of experience configuring and testing S/4HANA environments for PP, MM, and QM modules, and supporting integration testing with boundary applications in manufacturing, quality, and logistics.
• 10 years of experience leading and managing SAP implementations and rollouts within SAP SCM (PP/QM/MM).
• 10 years of experience implementing Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order scenarios through PP configuration of control keys, order types, availability checks, scheduling, factory calendars, MRP controllers, and special procurement types.
• 10 years of experience designing SAP interfaces using EDI, SAP IDocs, SAP BAPI, SAP PCS, and SAP PI-PO to non-SAP or legacy systems, including manufacturing execution, laboratory information management, and transport management systems.
• 10 years of experience using end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation practices, including project planning, estimation, and solution architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, implement, and support SAP PP, QM, and MM solutions on the SAP S/4HANA 2022 platform.
• Design and configure end-to-end PP, QM, and Inventory Management processes, including master data, work centers, routings, bills of material, production versions and orders, MRP, capacity planning, batch management, quality inspection, stock transport orders, inbound and outbound deliveries, goods issue, and goods receipt.
• Develop cross-functional solutions integrating SAP EWM, FICO, SD, IBP, ABAP, and PI/PO with boundary systems including Swisslog, MES, LIMS, Winemanager, and a Transport Management System.
• Lead SAP template solution rollouts for new sites and business acquisitions.
• Gather requirements and conduct fit/gap analysis with business stakeholders; prepare fit/gap documentation and prioritize gaps based on complexity, importance, and project impact.
• Translate business processes and prioritized gaps into WRICEF Functional Specification documents.
