SAP Basis Administrator
About The Position
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a seasoned SAP Basis Administrator to architect, install, configure, tune, and operate complex SAP landscapes across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-hosted environments. The role helps keep mission-critical SAP systems available, performant, secure, and compliant. The administrator will work with infrastructure, security, and SAP functional teams to deliver a stable, well-governed platform. The position is 100% remote within the United States and is full-time, direct W2 employment. The stated annual salary range is $75,000–$98,000. Candidates eligible to apply include U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and candidates transferring an H-1B; the company cannot sponsor new H-1B petitions for this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Five or more years of SAP Basis or platform engineering experience in large enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience administering SAP HANA databases in production.
- Experience operating S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other NetWeaver systems.
- Hands-on experience with SAP migrations to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with SAP upgrades, EHP/SP application, and system conversions.
- Experience with SAP high availability and disaster recovery strategies, including HANA System Replication and clustering.
- Working knowledge of SAP transport management and Solution Manager ChaRM.
- Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- SAP certifications in HANA, S/4HANA, or Basis administration.
- Experience with SAP RISE / Grow and SAP Cloud ALM.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP and integration with hyperscaler-native services.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code for SAP landscapes, such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Experience operating regulated SAP workloads, including SOX, GxP, or PCI.
