About The Position

ZipStaff is seeking a senior SAP ABAP Lead Developer to design, build, and support complex SAP technical solutions within ECC and S/4HANA environments for a global technology services firm. The role requires deep expertise in ABAP development, RICEFW objects, and integration technologies, as well as proven experience delivering complex SAP developments in manufacturing environments. Manufacturing industry experience is mandatory. This is a hybrid/on-site contract role in Reno, Nevada, involving collaboration with business, IT, and global delivery teams. The position leads SAP technical development across ECC applications and participates in S/4HANA custom code remediation and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

12–15 years of SAP ABAP development experience.
Strong SAP ECC technical expertise.
Proven experience delivering complex SAP developments.
Knowledge of integration technologies and technical architecture.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Manufacturing industry experience is mandatory.
Experience supporting large-scale SAP ECC environments.
Ability to work hybrid/on-site in Reno, NV, and collaborate with business, IT, and global delivery teams.

Nice To Haves

SAP S/4HANA technical experience.
Exposure to CDS Views, OData, Fiori, and SAP BTP.
SAP technical certifications preferred.
Background supporting S/4HANA custom code remediation and modernization.

Responsibilities

Lead SAP technical development activities across ECC applications.
Design and develop RICEFW objects: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
Develop and support ABAP Objects, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
Build integrations with external systems using IDocs, RFCs, Web Services, and APIs.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
Support performance tuning and technical troubleshooting.
Work closely with functional teams to deliver business solutions.
Participate in S/4HANA custom code remediation and modernization initiatives.
