About The Position

CACI is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer to support a mission-critical modernization effort for the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) and the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS). The role designs, develops, and enhances SAP S/4HANA solutions supporting Department of Defense transportation and logistics operations. The developer contributes to applications, integrations, and user experiences for transportation planning, procurement, fulfillment, financial management, and operational effectiveness, collaborating with functional and technical experts in a large-scale enterprise environment. The position develops and maintains SAP ABAP solutions and RICEFW objects, modern SAP Fiori applications, UI5 experiences, and OData services. It also supports testing, deployments, release management, application maintenance, troubleshooting, and S/4HANA modernization while following Clean Core architecture principles and SAP development best practices. An active DoD Secret clearance is required. Travel is up to 10%, and the role is full-time.

Requirements

Active DoD Secret clearance.
Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and supporting applications within SAP ECC 6.0, SAP S/4HANA, or similar enterprise SAP environments.
Strong experience developing applications using ABAP Objects, ABAP Reports, Dialog/Online Transactions, and Web Dynpro.
Experience with SAP integration technologies including BAPI, ALE, IDocs, PI/PO, SOAP, XML Web Services, REST APIs, and proxies.
Experience developing backend services using BOPF, OData Services, and the ABAP RESTful Programming Model.
Experience with SAP UI5 and Fiori development technologies, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Eclipse, and VS Code.
Strong SAP S/4HANA development experience, including CDS Views, AMDP, code pushdown techniques, Native SQL, ABAP Development Tools, HANA data modeling, database procedures, and HANA performance optimization.
Experience following SAP coding standards, performance guidelines, and development best practices.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting USTRANSCOM transportation operations, systems, or logistics programs.
Knowledge of Department of Defense transportation and logistics business processes.
Understanding of Defense Transportation Regulations and DoD Financial Management Regulations.
Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformation or modernization initiatives.
Experience developing solutions within highly integrated SAP and non-SAP environments.
Familiarity with Clean Core architecture and SAP best practices.
Previous experience supporting federal government or Department of Defense programs.
SAP certifications related to ABAP, S/4HANA, or Fiori development.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions supporting SAP S/4HANA and related systems.
Develop and support RICEFW objects, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
Analyze business requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to create scalable, efficient technical solutions.
Develop technical designs, specifications, and supporting documentation for SAP enhancements and integrations.
Perform unit, integration, system, and release testing to ensure solution quality and performance.
Support user acceptance testing, production deployments, release management, and ongoing application maintenance.
Design, build, and enhance SAP Fiori applications and user experiences using SAP UI5 technologies.
Develop transactional, analytical, and fact sheet Fiori applications and enhance standard SAP applications using approved enhancement frameworks.
Design and implement OData services using SAP Gateway technologies.
Deploy and support applications within existing SAP Launchpad environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, and performance issues.
Support SAP S/4HANA modernization initiatives while adhering to Clean Core architecture principles and development best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting transportation, logistics, financial, and operational business processes.
