About The Position
We are seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer with at least five years of hands-on SAP development experience in a complex enterprise environment. The role begins remotely, but candidates must be local to the San Diego area and able to work onsite in San Diego if the engagement transitions to a fully onsite model. An onsite client interview in San Diego is required as part of the selection process. The ideal candidate has strong core ABAP development skills and hands-on SAP IS-U / Utilities experience. Experience with CCS and related utility applications is highly valued. Candidates are not expected to have experience with every technology or SAP module listed. The developer will develop, customize, enhance, and support SAP applications; perform technical analysis, design, programming, and troubleshooting; support SAP Functional teams with incident analysis and resolution; and develop and maintain custom SAP solutions. The role also supports interfaces and integrations, produces technical specifications and unit test documentation, performs developer testing, supports functional testing, resolves defects, and optimizes custom solutions for performance and maintainability. Collaboration with functional, integration, and business teams is required.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional SAP ABAP development experience.
- Strong hands-on SAP IS-U / Utilities experience.
- Strong ABAP and ABAP Objects (ABAP-OO) background.
- Experience with SAP ECC on HANA.
- Experience with RICEFW development.
- Experience with BAdIs, BAPIs, IDocs, user exits, and enhancements.
- Experience with SAP interfaces and integrations.
- Technical troubleshooting and defect resolution skills.
- Experience with unit testing and technical documentation.
- Experience working closely with SAP Functional and Integration teams.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise SAP environments.
- Ability to independently analyze requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be local to the San Diego area and available for an onsite client interview.
- Must be able to work onsite in San Diego if required.
