About The Position

The Sanitizer – External is responsible for external cleaning and sanitation of production machinery and storage areas. The position also performs housekeeping duties within production areas and other duties assigned by management. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, starting at 10:00 p.m. and continuing until work is complete; possible off-days are noted. The role requires compliance with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Safety-toed shoes are required for specified tasks, including operating powered industrial equipment or working where it is in use, fleet maintenance, working with palletized product, using hand trucks or dollies to deliver product, and cooler services. The job involves frequent or repeated standing, walking, bending, kneeling or squatting, stair climbing, crawling, and overhead reaching. It also involves exposure to water, chemicals, and noise, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a good work record, good attendance, a good safety record, and a dependable attitude.
Be able to receive and follow instructions and work well with other employees and/or customers.
Pass the Company physical.
Maintain a neat appearance and be self-motivated.
Be capable of learning to operate technical equipment.
Demonstrate alertness and successfully manage several procedures at once in quick repetition.
Meet the physical requirements of the position.
Comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program and wear safety-toed shoes when required.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize production machinery and storage areas.
Perform housekeeping duties within production areas.
Perform other appropriate duties assigned by management.
Accept responsibility for the safe and efficient completion of all clean-up functions.
Learn to communicate mechanical problems to appropriate personnel without close supervision.
