About The Position

Palmer Candy is hiring a Sanitation Team Member at its Hwy 75 facility. The role is responsible for sanitizing facilities, machines, and production equipment so products are produced safely and securely, meet quality standards, and comply with specifications established by company managers. The position is scheduled for first shift, Monday through Friday. Monday through Thursday hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Friday shifts vary from 6 to 10 hours. Saturday work may be scheduled based on business needs. Plant management will notify team members of schedule changes outside these hours.

Nice To Haves

Prior sanitation experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate sanitation equipment and tools.
Prepare sanitation supplies and chemicals safely and correctly.
Clean and sanitize manufacturing areas, packaging machines, and equipment, including regular and allergen washes.
Check equipment to ensure it meets health and safety regulations.
Manage recycling and waste removal.
Perform light painting and construction projects.
Perform simple maintenance.
Learn to use pallet jacks or forklifts.
Maintain acceptable standards of conduct.
Interact with all plant functions and work directly with individuals at all levels and functions.
Maintain regular and timely attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or management.
