About The Position

This position at Empire Packing is for a Sanitation role on the 3rd shift in Olympia. The Sanitation Supervisor will be the direct supervisor. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing production areas, completing mandatory safety and food safety/GMP training, and performing various cleaning tasks with little supervision. The role requires hands-on work at high speeds, lifting over 50 pounds, and working in extreme temperatures with exposure to moving machinery, hot water, and slippery floors. It also involves fast-paced work with repetitive motion, chemical handling with proper training and PPE, and working in production and maintenance settings with exposure to chemicals, machinery, knives, slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud noise.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend and/or crawl for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures with frequent exposure to moving machinery, hot water and slippery floors.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion work in hand scrubbing and running a hose.
• Must be able to work with multiple chemicals with proper training and personal protective equipment.
• Good attendance and safety records

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing production areas

• Perform various cleaning and sanitation tasks with little supervision including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, hallways, etc.
