About The Position

The Sanitation Laborer will maintain sanitary condition of equipment by following effective sanitation methods to meet regulatory requirements, with a safety-minded attitude that maintains and enhances a safety-culture for the benefit of the company and its employees.

Requirements

• Able to speak English preferred
• Previous related experience preferred
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and USDA regulations preferred
• Able to work night shift; overtime and weekends as needed
• Effective communication skills
• Learn and understand the three main areas of contamination
• Able to lift in excess of 50 pounds occasionally throughout an 8-hour shift
• Able to tolerate hot/steam and wet conditions 8+ hours per day
• Able to work around and with chemicals including: alkaline detergents, acid and chlorine liquids and caustic soaps
• Standing, walking and climbing 8+ hours per day

Responsibilities

• Maintains sanitary condition of equipment by disassembling equipment and cleaning to regulatory standards with a use of high pressure water @ 140 – 160 F; following proper chemical allocation and cleaning applications
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Contributes to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed
• Adhere to all break and lunch requirements for the position
• Learn and execute 8 steps of sanitizing equipment, work area, and other requirements for a quality operation
• Fulfill inspection requirement of equipment after sanitation process is complete
• Must understand the corrective action process
