About The Position

A Sanitation Worker cleans and sanitizes processing equipment, production areas, floors, walls, drains, and other areas of the plant. The position works approximately from midnight to 6:00 a.m. on the 3rd shift, with a starting pay rate of $16.40 per hour. The worker follows established sanitation procedures and food safety requirements, uses cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, and completes required sanitation documentation.

Requirements

Must be 18 years old.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, hoses, pressure washers, and basic cleaning equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependable and willing to work scheduled hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous sanitation, janitorial, food processing, or poultry plant experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize processing equipment, machinery, conveyors, tables, walls, floors, drains, and other facility areas.
Disassemble and reassemble equipment as required for proper cleaning and sanitation.
Use cleaning chemicals, detergents, sanitizers, and pressure-washing equipment according to company procedures and safety requirements.
Follow sanitation procedures and schedules to ensure areas meet company and food safety standards.
Remove food debris, grease, blood, feathers, and other waste from production areas.
Inspect cleaned areas and equipment to ensure they meet sanitation requirements.
Report damaged equipment, leaks, safety hazards, or sanitation concerns to the supervisor.
Handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and waste properly.
Follow USDA, HACCP, food safety, OSHA, and company sanitation requirements.
Wear required PPE and follow safety procedures.
Complete sanitation records, checklists, and other required documentation accurately.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
