About The Position

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for properly sanitizing the production area. This role requires the ability to understand and follow instructions, learn cleaning procedures, and work safely with equipment and chemicals. The technician may be required to disassemble equipment, climb stairs, and ensure machines and the surrounding area are kept neat and sanitary. Adaptability, effective communication, and the ability to train others are also key aspects of this position. Dependability, self-motivation, and an acceptable attendance record are essential, along with flexibility to work different shifts as needed. The role also involves reading and interpreting various documents, ensuring actions align with plant safety goals, and understanding company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to learn cleaning procedures.
Ability to work safely and participate in training specific to the job, such as proper chemical handling procedures.
Must be able to climb stairs.
Ability to work accurately and safely with equipment.
Adapt to changing situations and be able to establish priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, Crew leaders, QA, and Team Leaders.
Must be dependable, self-motivated, and maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Must be flexible to work different shifts as needed.
Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Understand Vlasic policies and procedures.
