Sanitation Technician 1st Shift
About The Position
Reporting to the Sanitation Team Leader, you will support sanitation and basic janitorial operations at our Louisville, Kentucky facility. You will work onsite in a manufacturing environment to ensure equipment, production areas, and facility spaces are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to meet safety, quality, and food safety standards. This position follows a 4-day work week, including weekend work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Weekend shifts consist of three 12-hour shifts, with start times between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. One additional 12-hour shift is worked during the week. Additional shifts may be added, and existing shifts may be adjusted based on business needs. This position will include frequent holiday work as well.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude to disassemble and reassemble equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime
- Commitment to following all safety and sanitation procedures
Nice To Haves
- Experience in sanitation, janitorial, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation processes and food safety standards preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, sanitation, and basic janitorial duties across production areas, offices, and common spaces
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, floors, walls, and facility surfaces
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed for proper cleaning
- Follow sanitation procedures, safety guidelines such as Lock Out Tag Out, and regulatory standards
- Properly use cleaning chemicals, tools, and personal protective equipment
- Remove waste, dispose of materials correctly, and maintain cleanliness throughout the facility
- Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards
- Document sanitation activities and report any issues to leadership
- Support production teams by ensuring equipment and areas are ready for operation
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment
