About The Position

Gotham Greens is seeking a passionate, driven, and hardworking Sanitation Technician for its Monroe, Georgia location. The role handles day-to-day tasks as directed by the Plant Manager, with a focus on greenhouse sanitation and sanitizing growing channels. It is a hands-on position that involves working as part of a team and performing cleaning tasks in challenging areas of the greenhouse.

The technician cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas throughout the greenhouse, following established procedures and safe work practices. The role requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, working in tight or hard-to-reach spaces, and contributing ideas to improve cleanliness and efficiency. The technician may also assist with other tasks needed to support effective greenhouse and packhouse operations.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for a part-time shift.
• Ability to work in tight quarters and hard-to-reach areas, including beneath growing lines.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn food safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to identify problems and opportunities for greater efficiency.
• Reliable, highly motivated, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to take on hands-on cleaning work.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas throughout the greenhouse.
• Clean growing channels and other greenhouse areas as directed.
• Use provided materials and tools to clean quickly and effectively.
• Follow established cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
• Work safely and follow safe work practices at all times.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
• Suggest ways to improve efficiency and cleanliness.
• Assist with unrelated or unassigned tasks as needed to support greenhouse and packhouse operations.
