About The Position

The Sanitation Technician performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation tasks in warehouse areas, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas, and may perform similar duties in office areas as assigned. Tasks include sweeping, dusting, mopping, picking up trash, using a compactor, and potentially operating a pallet jack to transport refuse to appropriate receptacles. The role may involve working with cleaning chemicals and requires following safety rules and completing assigned duties based on business needs.

The technician follows company health and safety policies and guidelines, promptly reports unsafe conditions or acts, and is certified to operate required equipment. The role also requires handling cleaning chemicals in accordance with hazmat material sheets, completing assigned Pure Safety training modules accurately and on time, and completing all other assignments accurately and promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 months of general sanitation, cleaning, and/or janitorial work experience.

Nice To Haves

• 6–12 months of general sanitation, cleaning, and/or janitorial work experience in a warehouse environment.
• Pallet jack experience.
• Preferred professional certification: Pallet Jack.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, dust, mop, pick up trash, and perform related janitorial tasks.
• Use a compactor and, when required, operate a pallet jack to transport refuse or trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Handle cleaning chemicals according to hazmat material sheets.
• Follow company health and safety policies and guidelines, and report unsafe conditions or acts immediately.
• Complete all assigned Pure Safety training modules accurately and on time.
• Complete assignments accurately and promptly, and perform other related duties as assigned.
