About The Position

The Sanitation Technician at Pete & Gerry’s Greencastle location cleans and sanitizes processing equipment, floors, and drains nightly. The role supports the packing and shipping of eggs to stores across the United States and requires working independently and efficiently. Duties include rinsing, foaming, scrubbing, washing, rinsing again, and sanitizing specified equipment and areas, as well as completing an end-of-day hygiene sweep to remove waste and debris from the processing plant. Shifts may be up to 12 hours per day, with start and end times varying according to operational needs, including truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, and production changes. Flexibility to adjust the schedule as needed is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a processing environment.
Cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

Rinse, foam, scrub, wash, rinse, and sanitize the pre-loader, loader, orientator table, spools, washers, dirt detector, crack detector, scales, dryer, transfer, packers 1–20, and drop brushes.
Clean and sanitize pre- and post-process floors, gutters, and drains.
Conduct an end-of-day hygiene sweep of the entire processing plant and remove waste and debris.
Work independently and efficiently to complete nightly sanitation activities.
