Sanitation Team Member
About The Position
The Sanitation Team Member cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, walls, tables, and floors using chemicals. The role also involves maintaining the office area and staff cafeteria, checking equipment and utensils for damage or missing parts, disposing of waste and recycling, testing sanitizer concentrations with paper strips, completing daily sanitation records, following written Standard Operating Procedures, and advising management of sanitation deficiencies. The position is based at Bento’s Chicago Food Factory, 2136 South Peoria Street, Chicago, Illinois. The listed schedule is Sunday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The role is full-time, starts immediately, and pays $19.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb).
- Minimum high school diploma.
- Basic English verbal and written communication skills.

- WHMIS certificate is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, walls, tables, and floors using chemicals.
- Maintain cleanliness of the office area and staff cafeteria.
- Inspect equipment and utensils to ensure they are intact and have no broken or missing parts.
- Dispose of waste and recycling materials as required.
- Test sanitizer concentrations with paper strips.
- Complete sanitation records daily.
- Follow the company’s written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Advise management of sanitation-related deficiencies.
