About The Position

The Sanitation Supervisor directs and leads an assigned production area under the direction of the Sanitation Manager. The role is responsible for ensuring product quality and safety and overseeing production front-line supervisors. The position also manages department materials and finished-goods inventory, employee performance and development, payroll hours, and pay-rate adjustments while collaborating with other shift supervisors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–5 years of supervisory experience.
Understanding of food manufacturing GMPs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Organized time manager with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Ability to function well under pressure.
Demonstrated proficiency in communication and documentation skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Model and enforce company safety policies and practices, HACCP procedures, GMPs, SSOPs, and other company policies.
Manage inventory of materials used in the department and finished goods.
Assist supervisors with personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action as needed.
Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
Supervise, lead, and train department employees.
Monitor front-line supervisor performance; coach, affirm, counsel, and discipline as needed.
Consult with Human Resources on actions for employees who do not meet standard requirements.
Approve payroll hours, including overtime and paid days off.
Review and approve proposed employee pay-rate adjustments and ensure rates comply with the wage schedule in the collective bargaining agreement.
Collaborate with other shift supervisors.
