About The Position

Stratas Foods LLC is seeking qualified sanitation candidates for a 3rd Shift Position. The role involves performing a variety of jobs, tasks, and duties as required, including general housekeeping, sanitation, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication, sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items, dumping rework, operating a motorized forklift, preparing and packaging product, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities also include the proper tear down, cleaning, and reassembling of pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment, as well as the operation of CIP skids and breakdown/cleaning of line components. The position requires knowledge of chemical handling procedures and appropriate PPE. Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual MSS items must be completed. The operator will communicate with supervisors regarding equipment attention and report/resolve quality issues observed during cleaning. Successful completion of a qualification test is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or commercial cleaning.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
• Learn and follow written rules and procedures.
• Produce accurate documentation.
• Maintain acceptable attendance.
• Must fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies.
• Must adhere to and comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping, sanitation, and clean up duties.
• Sweep, vacuum, paint, and lubricate equipment.
• Retrieve samples and perform power washing.
• Lift and haul items up and down stairs.
• Dump rework and prepare packaging.
• Operate a motorized forklift.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Tear down, clean, and reassemble pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment.
• Operate CIP skids.
• Break down and clean line components.
• Handle chemicals safely, using required PPE.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual MSS items.
• Communicate with supervisor when equipment needs attention.
• Report and resolve any observed quality issues while cleaning equipment.
• Successfully pass qualification test for Operator 3 responsibilities.
