About The Position

The Sanitation Technician ensures that the building and its equipment are kept clean and serviceable. The role completes sanitation according to the Master Sanitation Schedule, carries out sanitation projects as directed, and keeps cleaning tools and chemicals organized and sufficiently stocked. The employee also follows quality and safety measures, including the company’s Safety Program and Food Safety Management Program.

Requirements

Proven experience in sanitation work.
Experience with a food processing sanitation program.
Ability to use a tablet for data entry.
Ability to lift 40 pounds repetitively and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to bend, twist, and stand for an entire shift.

Responsibilities

Follow all FDA health and OSHA safety regulations.
Maintain good attendance.
Understand the safety measures necessary for equipment operation and cleaning.
Understand how to contact external support for issues that arise.
Follow verbal instructions and manuals for cleaning procedures.
Inspect and maintain the overall cleanliness of the building.
Manage scheduled work to complete cleaning projects on time.
Maintain cleaning records for all food-contact equipment.
Keep the work area clean and orderly.
Organize, store, and return cleaning tools and chemicals to their designated places.
Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning tools and chemicals.
Follow the Food Safety Management Plan, meet quality measures, and eliminate issues.
Follow the Safety Program, meet safety measures, and eliminate hazards.
Complete assigned training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
