About The Position

Conagra Brands is hiring a Sanitation Operator for its Indianapolis manufacturing plant. The role cleans and sanitizes production equipment and milk and product-flow systems between production cycles to support the production of high-quality food products. The position is onsite and reports to the Sanitation Team Lead. The schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 a.m. The hourly rate is $24.18, plus shift differentials of $0.25 and $0.30. The source requisition lists one opening and a target hire date of December 8, 2026.

Requirements

At least six months of experience in a processing, production, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
Ability to follow sanitation procedures and chemical-handling requirements.
Ability to work the scheduled 12-hour overnight shift.
Ability to work safely and effectively with team members across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning and sanitizing procedures on milk and product-flow systems between production cycles.
Manually control valves and piping to prepare for clean-in-place cycles.
Operate the human-machine interface (HMI) to complete sanitation sequences.
Troubleshoot, adjust, calibrate, monitor, and inspect equipment for issues.
Enter equipment defects when corrective action is needed.
Coordinate work activities with team members on the same or different shifts.
Obtain and replace sanitation chemicals as needed.
Use pressurized water hoses and caustic- and acid-based chemicals to clean production equipment.
Operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
Perform chemical tests.
