About The Position

Izzio Artisan Bakery is America’s #1 Sourdough Artisan Bakery, known for its innovation and rapid growth. The Sanitation Lead Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all plant and production equipment, ensuring compliance with food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing sanitation is required.
  • Must understand sanitation of highly complex manufacturing (commercial bakery) equipment.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow documents such as safety policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and general instructions.
  • Able to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to give and receive feedback.
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs., repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the use of both arms and both hands with full range of motion.
  • Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, twist, push and pull on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to kneel, squat, and climb as needed.
  • Must be able to reach overhead and away from the body.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for at least 90% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous food manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all sanitation tasks on production and industrial equipment.
  • Follows cleaning protocols to break down, clean, and reassemble production equipment according to manufacturer and operational standards.
  • Understands, follows, and documents sanitation standards in a GMP work environment.
  • Performs equipment changeovers and sanitation activities.
  • Completes general cleaning responsibilities and tasks outlined in the master sanitation schedule.
  • Understands equipment to identify and request necessary work orders to prevent mechanical issues.
  • Ensures equipment lubrication is completed according to specifications and in a timely manner.
  • Trains other team members on technical skills and proper sanitation procedures for production/industrial equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
