Sanitation Coordinator ( Sun-Thurs 1PM-9PM)
About The Position
The Sanitation Coordinator is responsible for sanitation and general maintenance of Lomar Distributing facilities, inside and out. The role includes cleaning offices, restrooms, and breakrooms; handling trash, recycling, and damaged product; ordering supplies; and performing minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical maintenance. The position follows company, food safety, security, and general safety procedures, including use of required personal protective equipment. Most duties take place in a warehouse, with some exposure to outdoor conditions and varying environmental hazards. The role also assists with meetings and performs Warehouse Generalist duties when needed.
Requirements
- No education or experience requirements.
- Use proper personal protective equipment to promote a safe work environment.
- Ability to solve practical problems involving a variety of variables and limited standardization, and to interpret instructions.
- Ability to identify problems and develop and execute solutions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing.
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Visual ability including near and far vision, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision, with or without correction.
Responsibilities
- Report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow company policies and departmental guidelines.
- Perform general maintenance, including minor plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.
- Coordinate disposal of trash, recycling, and damaged product to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of Lomar Distributing facilities inside and out, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, power washing, scrubbing, dusting, and sanitizing.
- Perform janitorial duties in offices, restrooms, and breakrooms.
- Follow Lomar security procedures when monitoring non-Lomar-employed truck drivers and visitors.
- Order sanitation and maintenance supplies as needed.
- Follow food safety and general safety guidelines and perform work safely.
- Attend departmental and company meetings.
- Assist with setup and teardown of large group meetings.
- Perform Warehouse Generalist duties when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
