About The Position

The Assistant - Converting supports machine operators with the operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment. The role handles raw materials and finished products, including loading and unloading materials, and packs finished products into boxes with appropriate packaging and labeling. Assistants inspect products for defects and report quality issues to management, maintain a clean and organized work area, follow safety protocols, and perform basic equipment maintenance while reporting issues to the maintenance team. The position also involves cooperating and communicating with team members, maintaining accurate production documentation, and performing other duties as assigned. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pay is $19.50 per hour, with a $1 shift differential after 5 p.m. The posting advertises a $2,000 sign-on bonus, overtime, monthly production and perfect attendance bonuses, and a referral bonus. There is an opportunity for promotion into the Operator Trainee program; upon successful completion, the employee will be promoted to Converting Operator at $25 per hour. Responsibilities

Assist machine operators with the operation, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
Handle raw materials and finished products, including loading and unloading materials as required.
Pack finished products into boxes and ensure proper packaging and labeling according to company standards.
Inspect products for defects and report defects to management.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, remove debris, and follow waste-disposal protocols.
Follow safety guidelines and protocols.
Perform basic machinery and equipment maintenance and report issues to the maintenance team.
Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with team members to support production processes.
Maintain accurate production documentation as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
