About The Position
The City of Nacogdoches is seeking a dedicated and dependable Sanitation Collection Laborer to join its Sanitation team. The role performs essential manual labor to collect and dispose of residential yard waste, brush, and debris along assigned routes, helping maintain the community’s cleanliness and appearance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
- Ability to perform physical heavy work and safely operate tools in an outdoor environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in yard waste and debris collection.
- Basic familiarity with mobile devices or tablets for route navigation.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload yard waste, brush, leaves, and heavy materials.
- Safely operate grapple-style booms, hand tools, and power equipment.
- Assist with recycling operations and general public works maintenance as needed.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
