About The Position

This position is for a Sanitation Cleanup (CIP Technician) at the Holland Plant, which has been operating since 1897 and employs over 300 people. The plant produces sweet relish, Grey Poupon mustard, yellow mustard, vinegar, pickle variations, and BBQ sauce, and is a Union Facility (RWDSU). The primary responsibility of this role is to clean and sanitize production lines and peripheral areas throughout the facility using various chemicals. Requirements

  • Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification
  • Must successfully pass on the job training and maintain operator qualification
  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • Must be able to handle potentially hazardous chemicals in a safe manner
  • GED or greater required
  • Requires ability to read, write and communicate in English or Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Assure that we are always working to meet or exceed our quality standards
  • Following GMP requirements
  • Inspecting raw materials and finished goods
  • Completing quality documentation
  • Assisting in rework as assigned
  • Escalating quality defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
  • Responsible for the operation of sanitation workers in the facility
  • Remove trash cans, totes and other containers from the line
  • Following PPE requirements
  • Turn equipment on and drain / empty fillers and conveyors of excess or unprocessed product residue
  • Pre-rinse equipment to remove food residue and soils
  • Apply chemicals as instructed for various lines and products
  • Allow chemicals to soak or CIP for the required amount of time
  • Rinse chemicals to remove all remaining food residue, soils and chemicals residue
  • Wash and/or sweep the remaining product residue from the floor
  • Operate a forklift to perform sanitation duties such as removing trash
  • Perform all duties within compliance of GMP and Safety protocols
  • Perform any other duties as instructed by Lead Person and/or Supervisor such as Master Sanitation
  • Perform any other duty as required by supervisor or lead person
  • Escalating safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
  • Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) at the operator level
  • Participation in Shift Hand Offs Meetings
  • Participation in Level 1 Meetings
  • Participation in Performance Boards
  • Participation in Centerline Management (CLM)
  • Participation in Clean to Inspect and Reapply Lubrication (CIL)
  • Participation in 5S
  • Participation in Defect Handling
  • Participation in Start Up/Shut Down
  • Participation in Changeovers
  • Participation in Daily Problem Handling
  • Work with support departments to improve line performance
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Perform any other duty as assigned by supervisor or lead person
