The Sanitation and CIP Associate is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Clean In Place (CIP) systems, and Pest Control programs. This role involves assisting with internal audits, pathogen swabbing, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions. The associate will also help address food safety issues, conduct and document sanitation activities, maintain sanitation supplies, and perform routine maintenance and cleaning. A key aspect of the role is ensuring the facility and equipment are maintained in accordance with government food safety and quality standards, including CHS and Good Manufacturing Practices, through validation testing and product evaluations. The associate will provide input on chemical options for plant sanitation and collaborate with the FSQA team to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including the Safe Quality Food Code Food Safety manual and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). Additionally, the role requires strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment, safe operation of machinery, hazard reporting, and participation in safety training. Maintaining a clean work area, contributing to safety protocol improvements, and ensuring personal and others' safety are also critical. The associate must also comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, utilizing the Open Door Policy and demonstrating integrity, respect, and a commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
