This position assists other maintenance technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment such as lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electronic and electrical equipment, according to company policies and procedures. The role involves operating material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment. A key responsibility is diagnosing refrigeration and electrical problems using technical drawings like blueprints and electronic/mechanical schematics, as well as diagnostic tools such as multimeters and laptops. The technician will troubleshoot and repair complex ammonia refrigeration system problems, including equipment logic controls and external Input/Output (IO) devices. Additionally, the role requires operating refrigeration system equipment (e.g., compressors, fan units), performing preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration system equipment following manufacturer instructions and standard operating procedures, and participating as a member of the HazMat team for hazardous material issues. The position also involves monitoring work areas for safety concerns, completing work orders and other documentation, leading and participating in teams, and developing/communicating processes to meet business needs.
