About The Position

The Sanitation Aide / Dishwasher maintains the dish machine and washes dishes, glasses, pots, and pans using designated washing areas. The role helps keep the kitchen neat and clean, handles and sanitizes trash containers, follows safety and MSDS protocols, and may assist in other kitchen duties, including banquet plating. Schedules may vary and can include nights, weekends, and holidays. The posting lists compensation of $18.40 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Use established guidelines to operate and maintain the dish machine.
• Wash glasses and dishes in a standard dish rack.
• Wash pots and pans in the pot washer’s area.
• Perform cleaning needed to keep the kitchen neat and clean, including sweeping broken glass or dishes and mopping spills.
• Empty full and heavy trash cans; spray and sanitize them after each use, then replace the trash bags.
• Follow MSDS protocols and safety guidelines.
• Perform duties in other kitchen areas as assigned, including assisting with banquet-event plating when needed.
