About The Position

The Sanitation 1 employee cleans the egg processing plant after production is finished for the day, including equipment, floors, tools, and work areas, to ensure the plant is clean, safe, and ready for the next shift. Training is provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

• No previous sanitation experience is required; training will be provided.
• Able to work third shift and overnight hours.
• Able to follow directions and learn cleaning procedures.
• Able to work in a wet, cool, and fast-paced plant environment.
• Dependable and safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, floors, drains, and work areas after production is complete.
• Remove egg debris, waste, and other material from assigned areas.
• Use hoses, foamers, scrubbers, squeegees, and other cleaning tools as trained.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow label instructions and supervisors’ directions.
• Follow safety and food safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Report equipment problems, safety concerns, or areas needing attention to a supervisor or lead.
• Perform other cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned.
