Sandwich Artist-Cashier - Airport (Lift Off)
About The Position
CC Holdings is hiring full-time and part-time Sandwich Artist/Cashier/CSR team members for its Lift Off location at the Indianapolis International Airport. The team follows CC Holdings’ HEART Culture: Heartfelt, Efficient, Accountable, Respectful, and Team-Oriented. This role prepares sandwiches, wraps, salads, and protein bowls according to recipes and Nature’s Table standards, and processes customer transactions while providing excellent service. Work takes place in a fast-paced airport café environment. Shifts vary within operating hours of 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Sunday; nights and weekends are required. The anticipated start date is between October and December, depending on hiring and onboarding timelines.
Requirements
- Must have a liquor license.
- Must have a valid driver’s license to obtain an airport parking pass.
- Arrive in proper uniform and adhere to grooming standards.
- Knowledge of food-service procedures, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
- Effective communication and customer-service skills, including strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow cash-handling procedures accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change, and willingness to assist with additional tasks.
- Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation; these may include standing and walking for extended periods, moving around restaurant work areas, preparing and handling food, operating restaurant equipment, interacting with customers and team members, maintaining cleanliness, and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items consistent with the role.
Nice To Haves
- Prior sandwich artist, cashier, or CSR experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and protein bowls efficiently, consistently, and in accordance with recipes and Nature’s Table standards.
- Process cash, debit, and credit card transactions using a point-of-sale system; make change and balance cash drawers.
- Set up stations according to café guidelines and restock items as needed.
- Prepare food in a sanitary and timely manner while following portion-control, presentation, food-safety, and sanitation standards.
- Clean and maintain stations and use and maintain equipment properly.
- Accommodate guests with food allergies or intolerances.
- Provide excellent customer service, thank customers, and encourage repeat business.
- Follow cash-handling procedures and support financial accountability by recording orders, handling payments, and balancing cash drawers.
- Promote products, services, and special promotions through suggestive selling.
- Assist with training new barista/cashier team members and act as a positive role model for staff and customers.
- Collaborate with the team, communicate effectively, and assist with additional tasks when needed.
