About The Position

The SAM Specialist – Remediation & Operational Support is accountable for executing operational SAM activities and driving remediation outcomes, ensuring issues related to discovery, data quality, and unauthorized software are tracked, resolved, and reported effectively. As SAM operations mature, this role is expected to expand from reactive issue resolution into proactive risk identification, operational optimization, and improved automation of remediation workflows.

Requirements

  • Experience in SAM operations, IT service management, or operational remediation roles
  • Strong coordination and follow‑through skills across technical teams
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow workflows and ticketing processes

Responsibilities

  • Ensure SAM operational issues are managed through to resolution
  • Drive timely remediation of unauthorized software
  • Improve data quality through structured issue identification and coordination with IT teams
  • Provide operational transparency through clear tracking and reporting
  • Reduce ongoing SAM risk through consistent operational execution
  • Responding to operational requests related to discovery, workflows, or missing data
  • Reviewing reports of anomalies, outliers, or incomplete records
  • Coordinating with SAM Tech Enablement, CMDB, endpoint, and server teams to resolve issues
  • Identifying prohibited software and tracking remediation to completion
  • Opening and managing incidents or tasks as required
  • Reporting remediation status to SAM Program and Business Operations stakeholders
