Salon Manager – SmartStyle Woodland
About The Position
SmartStyle Woodland is seeking an experienced, creative salon leader for a busy, full-service salon. Experienced stylists who have not managed a salon can receive support and training to grow into the role. The manager leads the salon team, develops stylists, and works with ownership on goals, operations, and community outreach. The position offers a base of loyal clients, daily one-on-one leadership support, paid training, and nationally recognized education. Compensation includes wages, tips, and commissions; the effective hourly wage may be $22–$45 or more, and motivated managers may earn upwards of $80,000 per year.
Requirements
- Active cosmetology or barber license, or reciprocal license.
- Leadership experience, including experience from another industry.
- A love for hair trends and cutting-edge artistry.
- An upbeat, growth mindset and a passion for mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Build a welcoming salon that clients want to return to.
- Motivate the team and lead by example.
- Train and mentor stylists.
- Work with ownership on goals, daily operations, and community outreach.
- Keep the salon clean and compliant.
