About The Position

This entry-level sales position supports the do-it-yourself (DIY) business and helps achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts, and the ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. It also requires in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. The position may be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Requirements

• Two to three years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
• Basic driving and navigation ability.
• Ability to use a delivery board system.
• Friendly communication skills.
• Ability to locate and stock parts.
• Safety knowledge and skills.
• Ability to operate inventory systems and store equipment.
• Parts and automotive system knowledge and skills.
• Ability to operate POS and parts lookup systems.
• Ability to use testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
• Speak and write English, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to use basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customers in person and by phone.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services, including battery installation and testing, and wiper installation.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes such as truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Perform general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
