About The Position

This is an entry-level sales position supporting the DIY business and store sales and service objectives. The Salesperson needs good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts, sourcing options, store inventory, and maintenance processes. The role provides customer sales and service, assists with DIY services such as battery testing and installation and wiper installation, and handles inventory, stocking, cleanliness, and occasional parts delivery. The position may be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
• Speak and write English and communicate effectively to build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Basic driving and navigation ability.
• Ability to use a delivery board system.
• Ability to locate and stock parts.
• Safety knowledge and skills.
• Ability to operate inventory systems, store equipment, POS systems, parts lookup systems, and testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.
• Basic automotive system and parts knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish language skills.
• Fleet safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent selling experience during DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services, including battery installation and testing and wiper installation.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes, including truck put-away, shootouts, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Perform general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
