About The Position

The Salesperson is an entry-level sales position that supports the DIY business and helps achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts, store inventory, and maintenance processes. The Salesperson should be able to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. The position may be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Requirements

• Basic driving and navigation ability.
• Ability to use the delivery board system.
• Friendly communication skills.
• Ability to locate and stock parts.
• Safety knowledge and skills.
• Ability to operate inventory systems and store equipment.
• Parts and automotive system knowledge and skills.
• Ability to operate POS and parts lookup systems.
• Ability to use testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
• Ability to speak and write English; Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Two to three years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent selling experience for DIY customers in person and by phone.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and testing, and wiper installation.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes, including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, product facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Perform general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
