About The Position

An entry-level sales position that supports the DIY business and helps achieve sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems and parts, store inventory, and maintenance processes. The salesperson must be able to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers. The position may be part-time or full-time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Requirements

• Have 2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
• Speak and write English; Spanish is a plus.
• Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately, including arithmetic with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Have basic driving and navigation ability.
• Be able to use a delivery board system.
• Demonstrate friendly communication, safety knowledge and skills, and the ability to locate and stock parts.
• Operate inventory systems, store equipment, POS systems, and parts lookup systems.
• Have parts and automotive system knowledge and skills.
• Be proficient with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent selling experience to DIY customers in person and by phone.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store achieve its sales goals.
• Provide DIY services such as battery installation and testing, and wiper installation.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes, including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, product facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Stock merchandise, including truck stock and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
